Here's why your offer feels invisible 🫠

Hiya Reader!

We’re in full construction mode in the Jungels house as we gear up for baby #2...🤰

Which means every day feels like a mix between Fixer Upper and mild chaos.

But if I'm being honest, there’s something about the process of tearing things down and rebuilding them better that I weirdly love...

Meanwhile over here in business land, a couple client wins from the last week that deserve a standing O: 👏

🎸 The amazing Linda Marie Smith SOLD OUT the world premiere of her multimedia concert Frida Kahlo: A Woman Who Dared (!!). This project has been years in the making and seeing that "sold out" copy go up was 🔥🔥

📖 My pal Dani Lebovitz from Kid Food Explorers just launched her brand new book Food Positivity: How to Ditch Diet Culture and Talk to Kids About Food this week. A godsend for anyone else who has littles that refuse to eat anything but pasta.

(I’ll be breaking down the SOLD OUT strategy and the book pre-launch plan in upcoming emails because there are some seriously good takeaways hiding in both of those.)

But for today, here’s what I’ve got for ya:

  • The reason selling feels so uncomfortable (and the mindset shift that makes it 1000X easier) 🤯
  • A 10-minute sales message fix to boost your bottom line 💵
  • My new fave Chrome extension discovery for capturing great copy and ChatGPT nuggets 🪶

Reminder for the week:

Business is messy sometimes, friend.

There are seasons where everything feels polished and effortless.

And there are seasons where it feels like your brand, your strategy, and your living room are all under construction at the same time.

Both are normal. Both are part of building something meaningful. Keep going. (And know that I'm here whenever you've got questions.)

🐯 ttfn,

There’s something I’ve noticed about my fellow passion-driven solopreneurs...

We LOVE making sales.

But a lot of us?

We hate selling. Like… deeply.

You can practically feel the internal cringe when it’s time to talk about your offer.

You start writing a post.

Then you delete half the sentences because they feel “too salesy.”

You write something softer. Then even softer.

Then suddenly your post reads like a vague inspirational quote and not a single person realizes you’re *actually* selling something.

If you’ve ever posted something like:

“Just a reminder that I have a few spots available if anyone happens to be interested…”

…we need to talk. 😂

Because here’s the truth:

Selling isn’t scummy.

Bad selling is.

Pushy. Manipulative. Guilt-driven marketing? Yeah. NOBODY likes that.

But selling something that genuinely helps someone solve a problem they’re actively struggling with?

That’s not sleazy. That’s service.

People want solutions.

People want shortcuts.

People want someone to say: “Hey. I figured this out. Here’s a better way.”

The problem isn’t selling, friend.

The problem is when we start thinking selling equals being pushy.

So we swing too far the other direction.

We whisper about our offers, bury the transformation, downplay the results. 🤫

And then we’re confused when nobody buys!

Meanwhile the people who need what you created never even realize it exists.

Your audience is ALREADY out there Googling answers.

They're frustrated, stuck, and praying someone like you will come along and save the day.

Selling simply means showing up and saying:

“Hey, that problem that you have? I can help with that.”

No slime required.

📁 Marketing Quick Fix 📁

-------

Open a blank doc. Better yet, turn to a blank page in your old school Mead notebook (I'm an analog girlie 💁‍♀️).

Then answer these three questions about your offer:

1️⃣ What problem is someone actively struggling with right now?

Not a vague aspiration. A real problem.

Example: “My website gets traffic but nobody books.”

2️⃣ What changes for them after working with you?

Be specific and concrete. Specificity sells, my friend.

Example: “They walk away with a clear homepage message that converts visitors into inquiries.”

3️⃣ What relief do they feel after that change?

This is the emotional payoff.

Example: “They stop second-guessing every post and finally feel confident sending people to their website.”

Now put 'em all together into one simple sentence:

“If you’re struggling with [problem], this helps you [specific result] so you can finally [emotional outcome].”

THAT is what you sell. 💥

Web Highlights Chrome Extension

If you read a lot of articles online (like moi), this one’s a gamechanger.

It lets you highlight text on web pages and saves everything into a clean, organized dashboard you can revisit later.

Basically like building your own little research library while you browse.

I’ve been using it to save marketing ideas, great copy examples, and random rabbit holes I fall into at 10pm.

10/10 Highly recommend. ⭐⭐⭐
